We build for people who want the benefits of AI without having to become AI power users. That means individuals, creators, business owners, startups, and teams who want to spend less time managing tools and more time getting things done.

We don't believe the goal of AI is to eliminate people from the work. The best systems should give people more leverage, more context, and more time to focus on the things that require human judgment.

We don't think every app needs AI bolted onto it, and we don't think you should have to pay an AI tax on every tool you use. Good software should stay good software without AI getting in the way.

We use open-source and open-weight models by design. We believe an AI-native system should not lock users into a single model, provider, or way of working.

Our long-term goal is to keep as little of your data within Run as possible and give you meaningful control over your information, logs, and records. As AI becomes more deeply embedded in how we work, we believe data ownership will only become more important.

Run is built by a small, agile team that stays close to the product and the people using it. We use Run ourselves every day, which keeps us focused on what actually makes the product better rather than what simply sounds good.
